My Seagate external USB HDD is a few years old so it's time to back up my data to my new Seagate USB SSD.I had earlier tried sharing files between USB flash drives in Windows 7 File Explorer but got errors.Did those errors happen because flash drive technology is different than HDD and SSD storage, even though all were USB interfaced and/or because Windows 7 vs. Windows 10? In any case, I do NOT want to risk corrupting my files if sharing files between USB drives is not safe. Please advise.
