Copies of files/apps

Hello! So I was cleaning up some space on my C drive and now most of my desktop apps are copies (Fortnite, Spotify, Word, Telegram and others). When I try to rename them so it doesn't say copy at the end, the app's icon turns into a white sheet but still works when I try to run it. Can someone please help me fix it so it doesn't say copy at the end and the icon isn't a sheet after renaming it? Thank you in advance!
