Converting Wordpad doc.x file not working?

[Windows 10]

Hello all, few years ago I had created some files in wordpad on my older pc and had saved them. Now on my current pc I am trying to open said files but they are showing as Ableword [.doc.x] files on my windows 10 pc.I tried opening in Ableword and also in a free online file converter but showing error, help please?
