Constant crashing in Windows 11

I'm getting a lot of crashes all of a sudden, after several months of solid functionality. It's rendered my workstation laptop unusable. Mostly it's crashing in Houdini, which used to run fine on here; it seems to be related to a recent Windows update something, since until this week it's been reliable.
