computer not downloading the latest windows update

"2024-07 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5040442)" is ready to be downloaded and installed but as the update keeps saying there was an error and the update will not install. Install error - 0x800705b9I have tried using Win troubleshooter, freeing up even more disk space, Restart the Windows Update Service, Perform an SFC scan (saying files are corrupted), Download the Update manually from Microsoft catalogue dot update dot microsoft Website and restarting my PC after every attempt.The CBS logs (from c:\windows\logs\cbs\):CBS logs
