Computer Crashing

My computer crashes while playing games and becomes unresponsive. When trying to turn back on, it just stays on a black screen and needs to stay off for a while before it comes back on, and when it does crash it makes the notification ding sound (as if your pc gave you a pop up that needs you to click on before you can click on something outside of it).
