Code 39

i need advice i cant play any games or watch any DvDs on my computer n i have
no clue how to fix this ive tryed uninstalling n reinstalling the device but
i still have the problem!!! the device status says "Windows cannot load the
device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing.
(Code 39)" i went to help n support n it says i should try updating somthing
but i dont understand!!!
