I cloned the original HD on my HP 2540p HD WIN7 Pro 64-bit to a larger faster SSD. Worked great. I even purchased and installed Office 13 so that I could work on a few documents for a non-profit where I volunteer. All was going well. I like the small footprint of this little yet powerful HP notebook. Then one morning after a nice rest, I woke up the computer and logged onto the system. To my dismay, the USB ports became unrecognized by WIN7 (on the new SSD). So, I worked through all of the more common methods of diagnosing and repairing the USB issue.
