cloned and installed a new drive as drive "E:". Now Mirroring is Happening

Had an issue with a new SSD drive not showing up in file explorer but with excellent help from another forum member that issue was solved.Now I have a new issue. Drive "E:" (new SSD) was cloned from the "C:" drive. Any change made on the original drive, "C:", is also made on the new drive, "E". This also occurs when changes are made to drive "E:", the change also happens on "C:". I need to stop this mirroring activity; i.e. keep the drives separate so I can open space up on the "C:" drive so I can update Windows and install new apps. I am wondering if the cloning has created problem and if so
