Choosing a Temporary Sound Output Device

I have three sound output devices connected to my computer; a sound bar, headphones and an USB Bluetooth to an amp. When I go to the "Sound' settings window those three choices appear. However, when I click on one I need to click on the 'Set Default' button to have my choice take effect. I would rather keep one of them (my sound bar) as my default and only temporarily change to one of the other two. However, when I make my choice and click the "OK" button without clicking "Set Default" nothing happens, that is, the audio output device doesn't change. Please advise. Thanks! Dell Desktop -
