Child account but not a child

HiThe date of birth on my account is incorrect. I am listed as a child but I am an adult. I tried to add a friend as a family member in order to unlock my email, and then change my date of birth, but it doesn't seem to have worked. The date of birth may have changed (although I can't tell), but I'm still listed as a child.I went on the chat with a Microsoft employee and I was on for over an hour and she couldn't fix it, and told me to come to this forum instead. Please help.
