Changing PIN on windows 10 PC and Windows 11 Laptop

I successfully changed my PIN on my PC (windows 10) whilst logged i to my Microsoft account. I then tried to login to my laptop using the new PIN (Windows 11) but was advised PIN no is incorrect.I can still login using the same password used on my windows 10 PC, but not with the new PIN no.
