Running XP home. How do I get the OS to ask me whether I want a file

dl'd from a web site to be opened by a certain program or saved? I

accidentally told it to save a file of this type so I could email it to

my brother, and forgot to uncheck "do this automatically", now I can't

get that dialog to reappear so I can change it back to "open" from

"save". The box no longer appears, it just saves, and I would prefer it

to open the file. I have tried ALL the options in folder options/file

types/advanced, etc. Have tried deleting the file type from that list

several times and reentering it, still just saves w/o asking. Have

tried changing the edit file type/actions settings, no difference.

Driving me nuts. Ideas?

TIA

The OS doesn't ask you that, the web browser does.

The answer depends on what browser you use.
