Changing Default App Target

I’m attempting to run a version of a program that can only be run via manual shortcut (bedrock editor for minecraft bedrock preview). However, the default app for this shortcut is Minecraft Bedrock (retail version), though to work, the shortcut must run the preview version. In my default apps, it will not allow me to select the preview as the default startup location nor will the shortcut’s properties settings allow me to change the target. Any help is appreciated—thank you.
