Apparently update 1903 has made more changes than I knew. I use a personal windows 10 account on my aging home laptop that I've had set to be THE admin since it was brand new. I'm the only one who uses the machine, and I'm a career long programmer but haven't done much with local security. However, I just realized that my personal account is no longer a "full-full" admin, it is some kind of dumbed down one, I guess, that may have been introduced in 1903 (I think). It says I'm an admin at the top by my picture, but below that it says I'm a standard user, and will not let me convert to a full admin. I'm now forced to run installs AS admin, which I never had to do before. I know how to do it of course, it's just a pain in the garbanzos.
I did create and make Administrator "undisabled" as it were but it's a "local" account, which I'm not terribly familiar with--I'm not networked except to my Luddite hub's laptop (which I maintain for him). I'm not 100% sure how to use it in relation to my personal account installs etc. What I REALLY want to do is make my personal account the true FULL admin again. Is this even possible now? If so, are there instructions anywhere?
TIA
