Change search provider to uk?

Since reinstalling Win XP I have lost the ability in IE8 to search from the

top right 'search' area with 'Google.co.uk'. It will only allow 'Google.com'.

I have tried to add it via:

"Tools" > "Internet Options" > "General"

"Settings" > "Search" > "Find more search providers". But that doesn't work.

One use to be able to "Add a search provider" but that option seems to have

disappeared

(It's still in the help file!) The only option now seems to be, "Find more.

...."in which case 'Google.co.uk' does not appear only 'Google.com'.

(It's in 'accelerators' but that doesn't help)

There seems to be no way any longer of entering a search provider manually

(?)

It is a pain having to change the '.com' to '.co.uk' all the time.

I know I could use the Google tool bar but I would rather save the real

estate.

Can anyone offer any advice?

TIA

Top right in IE8>drop down>Find more providers>go to page 3>Click>Create

your own Search Provider>follow on page instructions!

Hope this helps!

Sorry, you can go to any page to click on, Create your own Search Provider,

you will have to scroll down to see it.

Thank you for that - I never noticed that option.
