CDP extension versus AIR on certifiacte

Hi there,I am trying to understand the purpose of CDP and AIA extension in a certificate.Below is an example of identity certificate for Redirecting I see CDP extension which clients ( Web browser) can use to verify if the issued certificate is still valid, but then we also have AIA extension.do both server the same purpose i.e. verify the cert is still valid? If so, why do we need both CDP and AIA extension when one can do the job? Which one clients prefer CDP or AIA because both are available in the certificate?Thanks!!CDPAIA
