Card Reader Use with Windows 11 24H2

My computer upgraded to 24H2, causing my SCR 3310 card reader to fail. I have tried the SCR driver and the windows driver, and neither one works. In both cases, the device manager reports the device is working properly, but it fails to read the card or even to acknowledge I have inserted a card. Based on what I could see online, I suspected this card reader is no longer supported, so I purchased an HID OMNIKEY 3021. The new card reader fails in the same manner as the older SCR reader.
