Windows 10 since December 2015. HP Laptop came with Windows 8 and had been upgraded to 8.1. Message today that virus definitions were out of date. Tried this afternoon and again this evening. After about an hour and a quarter got popup message that "Virus and spyware definitions counldn't be updated." No error code. Worthless advice to "Check your internet or network connection and try again." Internet is working fine, as is Wifi. Even with this popup the green bar on the updates still says it is searching. Chrome was updated at time windows 10 was downloaded in late December 2015. Windows Defender virus definitions created 6/26/2016 at 12:17 p.m. (This was the time I ran a quick scan, before getting the message that my definitions were out of date.) Virus definition version 1.223.2722.0. Spyware definitions version is the same. Definitions last updated 6/26/2016 3:54 p.m. (This was about the time the popup appeared the first time telling me my definitions couldn't be updated.) So my definitions have been updated today but you're telling me they haven't been updated? Last previous update was a week ago on 6/19/2016. PLEASE FIX THIS!!
