can't update from windows 7 to windows 10

I am trying to update from Windows 7 to windows 10. loading the tool give me the error 0x80072F8F-0x20000. trying to load windows 10 gives me something like "this is not a 32 bit version". My machine is 64 bit, 2.93gHz processor i7/870, 1.2Tb HD, 8Gb mem.Secondly: it says I need a license. How do I get that?I have the windows 7 key.Thanks!
