Can't sign in for my PC settings access

I'm trying to fix my windows 11 PC audio settings and there is a place that asks me to sign into my MicroSoft account (see image). It doesn't recognize my personal gmail account. It offers me old, very old email accounts for companies I used to work for that I haven't used in over a year or more. Why can't I sign in using my current personal gmail account? I am an Office 365 personal subscriber. I would like to sign in to MicroSoft "to continue app experiences across my devices".
