Hi,
We are having some trouble searching through PST files that we have stored on a network server after upgrade our clients from Outlook 2016 VL 32-bit to Outlook for Office 365 MSO (16.0.11929.20396) 32bit. We have users on either version of Windows (7 & 10) that after this upgrade installation, they (including myself) are unable to search through PST Files/archive files. The search appears to work perfectly fine on the Inbox of the OST, It just appears there are issues with specifically PST files.
What I've tried to do to remedy the issue were the following:
- Restarting the PC and Outlook for Office 365
- Checking Indexing status
- Selecting "Rebuild Index" in the advanced section of Index Options (Which appears to not work?)
- Stopping the Windows Search Service, Backing up the Search folder from C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\, and Deleting the folder to force a index rebuild. (I swore this would work, but apparently not)
- Testing removing "Microsoft Office - <Username here>" from the "Modify" section in Indexing options, restarting the Outlook Application, and testing search in the PST files (Which partially works but leaves a "search is not working right now" message up, takes very long depending on archive size, and doesn't return all but some results)
I could really use some help with this! Thanks!
