Can't reset outlook pin

HP did some crazy update and now the pin to my outlook.com is no longer available. Had the account 3 years ago when I got my laptop. Never used that account except to sign in to get online. Went through the reset option many times until I hit the limit. I was rejected each time. I don't know anything about this stuff.So I created another account on my cell so get info on how to get online. Please help.....my gray hair is getting more blue.
