Can't reactivate license after motherboard change

My old motherboard was finished and I had to replace it, after this Windows says I don't have a valid license.Doing slmgr.vbs /dlv I can se it's retail and it shows the last five characters, but when trying to activate it says its not valid.I have the key so why doesn't it work?
