I have just replaced most of the components in my PC, apart from the hard disks. Before I upgraded the hardware, I linked my Window 10 pro retail license to my Microsoft account. When I log into my Microsoft account in a browser, I can see my old PC in the Devices section.
When I booted into my new PC (using the old hard disk), it shows that windows is no longer activated, so I used the troubleshooter and selected "I recently changed the hardware on this device". However, that just returns the error...
"We can’t reactivate Windows because our servers aren’t available at the moment. Wait for a few minutes, or try adding your Microsoft account again. "
I've also tried to use the Get Help app to speak to an agent, but when requesting a callback the spinner spins for a minute or so and then returns "An error occurred. Please try your request again later".
Lastly, I have also tried to use "slui 4" to get my installation ID, but nothing happens.
Can someone assit in re-activating my Windows please?
