Hello,
I have an external hard drive where I keep all my media (mostly audio files). I upgraded from a laptop to a desktop. When I plug the hard drive into it, I'm getting this error code:
Error 0x80071771
I can't open my files. I didn't have them encrypted before, so I don't know why they are now. I get that error code when I right click on a file and try to change file ownership to personal.
It seems to be all the files that I added to the external drive while using my laptop with Windows 7. The files that I added after I upgraded to Windows 10 on the laptop and all the files I've added to my new desktop (also Windows 10) are fine.
I've tried the "Everyone" fix and it didn't work. Any ideas?
