CAN’T login to user domain after windows update

Hi,I did a windows update several days ago. It was an “update and restart”. Since then, I have not been able to login to use my laptop. I keep getting a message that the password is incorrect, but I’m positive that it’s correct. Sometimes I even get the “welcome” message with the dots, but shortly after I get the password incorrect message. I’ve tried all the things the Internet has said…1) Safemode didn’t work2) Tried uninstalling the update, but I can’t carry out that action unless I enter the password (makes no sense)3) can’t do any other resets for the same reason as above (enter password
