Can't login to the laptop after being waked up from sleep mode while the laptop is charging.

When I close the lid of the laptop when its charging, it goes into sleep mode and when i turn it back on to login back to my device it says "Something went wrong and your PIN isn't available (code: 0x80070006). Click to setup PIN again." If i restart the device i can easily log back in with the same pin but i lose all the unsaved progress in different apps that were running in the sleep mode. I have noticed that the problem only occurs when the laptop is charging.
