cant install internet protocol version 6

so initially I contacted Xbox support because my Xbox game bar does not let me join parties and hasn't for the past year. but while we were trying to fix it er discovered I don't have internet protocol version 6 and he believe that might be my issue. however I cannot install it whatsoever. when installing it through control panel it asks you to chose 3 different versions or what ever, 1) client 2) service 3) protocol. the guy I was talking to said I should install protocol so I attempted to do that and it takes you to another menu which ask you to select what network you want to install but th
