Hi everybody,

I tried to install DirectX (both the newest version and the June 2010 version) in my Windows 10 (64bit) laptop, and they both tell me a internal problem has occurred and let me check the DXError.log file. Here is what I got:

[07/19/19 19:39:03] module: dxupdate(Mar 30 2011), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 6637, function: CMDXInstall::Install

Failed API: InstallAssembly()
Error: (0x80070005) - Access Denied

Unable to install Microsoft.DirectX.Direct3DX.dll.

--------------------
[07/19/19 19:39:03] module: dxupdate(Mar 30 2011), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 2165, function: ExecuteCab

MDXInstall::Install() failed.

[07/19/19 19:39:03] module: dxupdate(Mar 30 2011), file: dxupdate.cpp, line: 5776, function: DirectXUpdateInstallPlugIn

ExecuteCab() failed.

Looks like it's a problem caused by the system denying DirectX to access some file. I have tried many measures from the internet, including modifying binary code of the InstalledVersion file in regedit, re-downloading DX setup program (I downloaded them both from the official microsoft website), deleting the directx folder in regedit, do the /sfc thing in cmd. They all failed unfortunately.

So, can anybody help me with this tricky issue? I would be very grateful if you guys do that.
