Can't extend my C: drive to unallocated space even when right next to it

I just installed windows 10 and then deleted my windows 11 partition on this drive but now it won't let me extend my C: drive. The unallocated space is right next to it but the option is greyed out. I know there's 3rd party software for this, but it costs money and i don't know if it's safe. Is there any other way to solve this?
