Can't download large files despite having the free space

Hello, Im trying to download video files in 4k/2160p around 4.8-5 gigs in size to a usb drive. I'm using Windows 11 home.I have the save location for new files downloaded from Chrome to this usb, and there's over 100 gigabytes free on the drive, but for some reason the large files will start downloading, and around 80% of downloading it stops and claims there's not enough storage even though there is. How do I fix this problem?
