Can't copy more than one page on my MacBook Air

Cannot copy more than one page on my MacBook Air.. Function that used to work was highlighting what I wanted copied by taking my finger down to the bottom of the page. Now it won't do more than one page. I've tried control + C. Nothing seems to work.* Moved from Community Center* Original title: Can't copy more than one page
