can’t connect to network due to uncalled for security pop up

For the past week I haven’t been able to connect to my university’s wi-fi network, even though at home I’m having no problems. whenever I try to connect to my university’s wi-fi, my computer asks for a username and password for a security sign in. I’ve tried to sign in with the phone number and password associated with my computer, and it told me it was wrong. I even changed my password to make extra sure I wasn’t getting it wrong, it still won’t let me in.
