Can't change my output volume when the microphone is in use

Hello, for a few days now I've had this issue where whenever my microphone is in use, my audio quality becomes terrible and a lot louder for some reason, and using the volume controls to increase/decrease output volume just doesn't work. I've found out that reason audio quality diminishes is because my earbuds go into hands-free mode which sucks (why can't windows just access the microphone and give me good audio quality :/ ), but not being able to adjust output volume sucks and I can't figure out why it does this.For some reason even if my laptops built-in microphone is being used instead of
