Cannot turn on secure boot

[Bruh moment 123 pls help me]

I just got a new hard drive, with windows 11 and, skipping all the tedious information, I found out that I need to have secure boot enabled. But, for some reason when I go to enable it in the BIOS, I switched it on with the option, but when my laptop booted after that, it still stayed off. I really have no clue of what to do or why any of this is happening so I would be thankful to anyone able to help
