Cannot log onto my laptop but can log onto that same microsoft account on another computer issue.

Hello, on my personal laptop i cannot log in, my microsoft account is connected to my laptop so my microsoft password is my laptop password. i have tried multiple times to change my password and log in to my laptop but it says the password is incorrect, when i log onto my personal computer tower, it works even though both pc and laptop are connected to the same microsoft account. When my laptop was still unlocked i could log in to microsoft with no problem.
