Cannot locate Windows 11 Bitlocker key

I am running a Windows 11 Dell Inspirion laptop.A couple days ago, the laptop would not turn on. Today I was able to turn the device on by resetting the CMOS, but when the laptop turned on, it asked for a bitlocker key that I've never set it up. I logged into my microsoft account, found that the laptop is linked to my Microsoft account and clicked on the bitlocker recovery key, but it states that I don't have any recovery key linked to this account. Please assist with this.
