Cannot install games to external SSD in the Microsoft Store

I can't choose my D drive when I'm installing games, it's not an option. I have tried formatting it to NTFS (over from exFAT) and it still doesn't allow me to choose the D drive. I have also tried changing the default in system -> storage -> where new content is saved and that also does not work.I also cannot choose the drive when installing games:
