I have used USB to Import photos from iPhone to Windows OS (7, XP and10) for many years with no issues. I haven't used this feature since Nov 2018, so assuming Updates to MS Photos App and Windows 10 are causing issues, based on discussions and forums on-line.
When I press Import in MS Photos App, I receive "Try Again" error message while its looking for my device. It also crashes during the Import when it would find my device, creating duplicate files when trying to Import again, because it hasn't deleted it/them from my iPhone. I have done all the updates for Windows, MS and did the MS Photos App Repair. I do not use any cloud photo storage because I backup to external drive from my computer.
Can anyone help me and others with the correct fix to this issue? I see a lot of frustrated users on-line with these same issues. I do not know my Windows product key to uninstall/reinstall Windows. I also wanted to uninstall and reinstall MS Photos App, but MS will not allow Uninstall for Photos App (it is gray shaded under Advanced Options when you click on Photos App in Settings). I have uninstalled the Add-ons for the MS Photos App, but it reinstalls itself.
