Cannot get rid of an old work account

[Windows 10]

When I look for the old work account in Settings, Accounts, Access Work or School nothing is listed but all my Microsoft APPs are asking for the old work account. All my Microsoft software was licensed to me personally but I used both my desktop and laptop to access my work network and both devices have no work account listed that I can delete but nag me all the time to log in to the work account.I cannot believe that Microsoft will not provide either a method or tool to remove this rogue account.
