Cannot get countdown widget in widgetboard active

I cannot add the countdown widget of my widgetbord on the left side task bar/When I open the widgetboard the countdown widget is there, but if I add an event nothing happens.Also the next time I open the widget board this event is gone.I did remove the countdown widget and add it again (upper left corner plus sign).It is there to add as it should be, but is I choose "" + add widget" under it, the same terminal comes, which does not store and does not activate events that I put in.Can somebody tell me where the trigger is to repair the countdown widget
