Cannot access an old laptop

[Windows 10]

I used to use an old laptop for school and now it’s asking for bitlocker recovery key. When I log into my school account I can see the device ID but it says no bitlocker key found for this device.What can I do here?I don’t want to delete the drive , I don’t know when the key was generated and where it would be saved.This is the only MS account that I logged into using this laptop.Thanks
