Can Ram install cause power on trouble?

At first I installed the new 8GB to my previously used 4GB slot. But it seems like it wasn't plugged properly, I turned the switch, display show nothing but fan spin. I swapped the ram in other slot but it didn't respond at all. So I removed CMOS and replug it and remove both ram. When I turned the switch, motherboard beep and fan spinned but didn't turned on. Now it isn't even beeping or fan spinning.
