Can I re-use the key I bought on G2A after I re-install windows on the same PC?

My parents' windows are corrupted because the local technician installed a cracked version for them. Yesterday I reset the PC and changed the key to the genuine one but the windows are not working properly.- cannot download anything at all. eg., from store or Windows update- cannot repair using DSIM Thus, I decide to re-install the windows after I get the reply from this.Please Kindly advise if there are any better options.
