Can I install Windows 10 from an old SSD on a new PC?

Hey, the question seems very simple but to my surprise I haven’t been able to find any topic that would describe my type of scenario. My laptop has died yesterday and I’m not going to repair it. I’d like to remove the SSD (M.2 type) that was inside and use it in a new PC that I will buy to install the Windows 10 system on it. Will it work the way I imagine it? If there’s any more information you need, let me know. Thanks in advance
