I am trying to install a device on our Windows test sets which is a CDC serial port and uses a driver supplied by Texas Instruments as part of a development package (Texas don't officially support WES7)
The .inf file attempts to install usbser.sys but cannot find it. The setupapi copies the .inf and .cat files to C:\windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\xds2xx_usb_cmp.inf_xxx folder, creates a .pnf file and also copies the .inf and .pnf files to C:\windows\inf.
Then it tries to copy usbser.sys and finds it missing.
I have seen other articles that recommend including mdmcpq.inf, but that is not present on these machines
