Camera not working: Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)

Hi, so this issue started from yesterday. I was in the middle of a Google Meet when my camera stopped working. I restarted my PC and the issue was solved, however, today it did not help. Just so you know, I have not made any recent changes to my laptop's hardware or software. I do have an update pending for Windows 11 but I do not want to do that since I feel it is too complicated to use. Can I get this issue resolved, preferably without updating my pc to Windows 11? Moreover, in the device manager, my camera shows this message: Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer.
