Camera not working, camera app shows gray screen with a tab and lock

I have an exam that needs to be proctored, so I need help as soon as possible!I was trying to take my exam and check my camera to see if it was working and it was not. The only thing that showed up was what was in header. The light for the camera is on, the privacy switch is to the correct side, and the camera f button has also been pressed and it won't do anything.I have gone through ALL of the privacy settings, and they are all switched on.
