both my old and new pcs randomly become unresponsive after being in a discord call or just after exiting a game

so i've had my old pc (windows 10) for about 5 years or so, and recently i've had an issue where my audio cuts completely (this almost always happened while in a discord call sharing my screen in the browser or the app itself) and then my discord becomes frozen if im using the app. no "not responding" thing, nothing. then the rest of my open programs become unusable and freeze. if i press the windows button it makes my taskbar unclickable and i dont see any highlights when moving my mouse over it, the only thing i can do is restart my pc.i've recently bought a new pc with completely different
